Sugar should have only been four pounds, yet she is now up to 14 pounds and hopefully she is at the weight she will stay, if not less. She will be two in April. She is a swimming dog, if, she can still touch bottom.
Spice will be nine in June. We bought her, but, she was 3 months old and was kept in a cage with a blanket over it 24/7. She has come out of her shyness to a certain degree. When we first met her, she was all ears and hardly weighted anything. She had never been outside and no one had held her or played with her. She was so pitiful. It took Jim two years to be able to pick her and hold her, but now she excepts him and loves to give him kisses. Now, she will let people pet her but you have to sit down and let her come to you, if you wish to hold her. She is great to take to nursing homes as she is so gentle and will let the residents pet her. She loves to dress up and go.
Princess was found roaming the streets of Heavener. She was brought to us and was so loving. She was taken to the Vet to be boarded and the vet put tick and flea medicine on her. She was really covered and we don't do fleas!!!! She had hook worms, tape worm and later we found out she had tick fever. She only weighted a pound and 1/2. Now, she is up to four pounds and healthy. Needless to say, this little free dog has cost a fortune. But, she is well worth it given her temperament and loving ways, Sugar and Spice let her move in without much fuss. It was clear she had puppies at one time or another so we had her fixed too. We did put her picture in the paper and several people offered to adopt her, but she had already stolen our hearts. So, the training goes on. And, she is first to the food bowl and eats very well.
